I've placed a pre order, what now?

On the odd occasion where we know we have guaranteed, high in demand stock on its way to us, we will offer items up for pre order. We do our very best to make sure that estimated delivery dates are clearly outlined.
If you do place an order (good for you!) just note that we will ship the entire order once the pre order piece has arrived. If you would like your goods to be shipped separately (sometimes it’s just too tough to wait!) simply process your orders separately, or we can apply a $12 shipping fee and partially ship what’s available out to you!
Pre-orders are an estimate and delivery time frame can vary anywhere from 3-6 weeks depending on the weather at sea and whether the cargo has been delayed.

How often do you ship orders?

Good news - we ship daily! This is usually the day after orders are received, though there are times when it gets super busy (we are a one man band over here) that it can take a bit longer. We do like to take a lil break on weekends, and don’t ship on Australian public holidays. All orders will receive full tracking information, communicated via email at time of dispatch. We work with the good folks over at Australia Post - they do their best but please note there are times when network disruptions cause delays that are outside of our control. This doesn’t apply to our bulky goods category, or those items being shipped from our affiliate partners.

What shipping options do you offer?

We work with the good folks over at Australia Post, though in busy periods will sometimes also use some of our trusty courier partners.

  • Standard shipping within Australia for $12 which can take from 2 to 7 days (though if you spend more than $150 in one go, postage is on us!*) 

  • Express shipping within Australia for $17.50 which can take 1 to 3 days

  • Please note we are based in Sydney, NSW - freight times may vary depending on your location. 

  • Shipping times are a rough guideline and subject to change. You may experience slightly longer delivery times during peak periods, wild weather, or other delivery issues outside of Hello Little Birdie’s reasonable control. 

*This doesn’t apply to our bulky goods category, or those items being shipped from our affiliate partners. We also don't provide free shipping in site wide sales!

How do I know if something is a ‘bulky good’?

We do our best to keep shipping costs to a minimum, though due to the size and weight of a select number of pieces (artworks, furniture, rugs and other large bulky items) there is a delivery charge that sits outside the above shipping options. 

This approximate rate will be automatically calculated at checkout . Should there be any discrepancy, our team will be in touch. An item will be listed as a bulky goods in its product description, and require a physical address to deliver to as we’re unable to ship to a PO box. 

I have a welcome code - when can I use it?

Oh hi there, welcome! You can use this code on any full priced order. It can't be used during sitewide sales though, but hang on to it cause you can use it next time around!

The item I want is out of stock, can you help?

Sometimes it’s hard to keep some of our more popular pieces in stock! If you have your heart set on a piece that is out of stock, we will do our very best to order it in for you. Delivery time frames will be clearly communicated, and we will process the payment once we’ve confirmed availability! Just drop us a line at info@hellolittlebirdie.com.au

Can you gift wrap?

We sure can, and we’re pretty good at it if we do say so ourselves. If you have a gift to pass on, we can wrap and include a personal handwritten note. Please include these details in your shopping cart “notes” section. Need help choosing a gift? Feel free to drop us a note - we love gift shopping as much as we love helping you find the perfect piece. 

What if I have purchased multiple gifts?

We can gift wrap them separately - please be sure to give us super clear instructions in the checkout notes or drop us an email with more information. We are unable to post to multiple locations in one order though - if you need to do that, best to place each gift as a separate order!

How do I purchase a gift card?
Can’t find the perfect piece? Easy peasy - view our range of gift card options here. Our gift cards are delivered digitally and make the perfect gift for an expecting family member or friend! Once you’ve placed your order with us, you will receive a gift card via email which includes a unique redemption code. You can then either forward it on via email, or print it out! If you’re looking for a specific amount or having trouble, drop us a note info@hellolittlebirdie.com.au. A few things to know about gift cards...
  • remaining balances on gift cards can be used on subsequent orders
  • multiple gift cards can be used against one order
  • promo codes can be use with gift vouchers
  • our gift cards have no additional processing fees.
  • gift card sales are final, no returns. They cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • What is your returns policy?

    We really hope you love your purchase as much as we do! In the event that it’s not right for you, here’s how our returns policy works:

    If you’ve changed your mind about an order (we get it, it happens!) your order is eligible for an exchange or a store credit. You are responsible for the cost of sending the pieces back to us, and items must be unused and in their original packaging to be eligible for return.* 

    We cannot be held liable for return parcels that are lost. We recommend you use registered post or a trackable courier when returning an item. Refunds or credit notes are only processed once the original item has been returned to us.

    We only refund goods that are faulty or damaged. In the case of faults, Hello Little Birdie will cover all costs of returning the item and will endeavour to repair or replace the item as soon as possible. you will receive a full refund for the item if the item cannot reasonably be repaired or replaced, or if required by law.

    Any item purchased using Afterpay as tender may be exchanged for a credit note to equal or product equal or lesser value. All Afterpay refunds will incur a 6.6% + .30c processing fee.

    We are unable to accept returns on any items that have been used, modified, assembled or marked and damaged in any way post purchase. We are unable to accept returns if the tags have been removed or packaging has been opened.  The item/s must be in their original condition. This includes all our range of furniture.

    Hello Little Birdie reserves the right to deny a return if it does not meet our returns policy.

    *Exclusions: We don’t offer returns on any items purchased on sale or during a promotion. Bulky goods are not eligible for return unless faulty. For safety and sanitary reasons, we are unable to accept returns on playmats, rugs, teethers and dummies. We do not offer returns or exchanges on any products that are made to order, including our Bonnie Gray art prints. 

    What happens to ‘return to sender’ parcels?

    Please be super careful when entering your address details! If a parcel comes back to us marked return to sender, we will charge a re-posting fee to send it out to you again!

    I haven’t received my order yet, can you help?

    Oh no! Drop us a note at info@hellolittlebirdie.com.au and we will help you out! Just double check that your order doesn't include a pre order item, as this could be what’s causing the hold up. 

    I received a faulty item. What now?

    If your item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receipt for details on how to return your item for a replacement or refund. Please note that we don’t offer refunds on items that have small variations in colour, and we don't accept returns on items after 7 days (unless this falls under Australian Consumer Law)
